Prepped in just 10 minutes, from less than five ingredients, this crispy, cheesy comfort food will serve you well as a side dish for crumbed fish or medium rare steak.

What you need

  • 1kg Agria potatoes
  • 160g Mainland Egmont cheese
  • 60ml olive oil
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Here's how it's done

  1. Slice the potatoes as thinly as you can (a mandolin is ideal for this).
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, olive oil and seasoning.
  3. Lay the potatoes out on a baking tray and top with grated cheese.
  4. Bake at 220 °C for 15 minutes until potatoes are crisp and golden.
